The Rise of Wives

  I read the article "The Rise of Wise" which looked at how women are becoming more equal in this generation. The article first looked at how "researchers have found that in 1 out of 5 marriages women are more educated and earn more money than their husbands," bringing that into a wider discussion. We found that more women are going to college and graduating then men have. With women becoming more equal to men we see these days women do the same amount of work or even more then men do. Women are making half of the income coming in to the home and in some cases making the entire income because her husband has been let go because of the economy where more jobs have been cut in the male working area.
  Reading this article I was glad to know that women are bringing in the money these days. That we are no longer just looked at as a wife, mom or Suzie homemaker, but we have a place in the work place, where we are making a difference and we have something to show for it.
